Mantis tricycle

Well built and good product, but I recommend nylon lock nuts should be used on rear axle to secure rear wheels. Also, no rear brake may be dangerous in some riding situations.

Great bike so far.

My daughter has balance issues and this bike has got her back in to bike riding.

Mantis Tri-Rad folding tricycle

this thing is way too heavy for a travel type of tricycle. Couldn't they make it out of anything lighter? It folds in half but the wheels do not fold at all so the bike stays the same width. this is a poor design if you want something compact and light weight for travel purposes. very disappointing for the money.

Love the idea, but the execution of it fails

Overall, this bike did not meet my standards and it will be returned. I had high hopes for it--the fact that it could fold in half was a big selling feature but I believe it's also it greatest weakness. The short frame length for fold-ability (6-10 inches shorter than most) puts the pedals directly under your butt making them hard to find them when you want to get on the bike and they really diminish the ability to propel the bike forward. Stalled on a hill? Forget it--you'll never pedal your way up--ergonomically its impossible to get momentum with your legs underneath you. Flat city streets, no hills, no grass, no obstacles and you might be fine, but even with my short legs, I found this awkward and clumsy. A restocking fee on top of return costs stings. The instruction booklet has black and white photos not close-up enough to be helpful and some of the screws were missing. You need a good variety of wrench sizes (not included) to put it together (about 4 hours). The tires seem very small and inadequate for the bike. The basket was crunched on arrival and customer service was awesome to initiate a replacement. Love the selection of the store and the sale price but overall the experience has made me likely never to buy again. Thinking about taking it all apart now and paying to ship it back saddens me. It was a great idea for a bike! Despite it all, I still think the store is really cool and they have some neato products. If I were more mechanically and athletically inclined I might be back.
