The Scout has a unique geometry.  its top-of-the line suspension that sets it apart and makes it the perfect cross-over sport trail bike.  Also, the increased traction of the fat-tires gives the Scout the ability to handle mountain terrain comfortably and easily. 

The Scout features an integrated 17.5Ah battery and improved cable housing to amplify your ride. This e-bike has an formidable 11-speed gear ratio in the Sram NX cassette.  As a result, the Scout takes you wherever your trail leads. 

The full-suspension Scout was designed and engineered around the superior power and performance of Bafang’s ULTRA mid-drive motor. Without a doubt, the Ultra motor is recognized as the “diesel engine” of fat tire electric bike mid-drive motors.

For this reason, the rear suspension of the Scout had to be just as heavy-duty to handle the torque and power without causing the frame to flex under heavy loads. 

The all-metal, heavy-duty gearing of the Ultra motor, combined with the intelligence of an integrated torque sensor, make the Ultra motor the most capable, robust, and efficient fat tire electric bike motor on the planet. 

Furthermore, the Ultra motor is considered a smart motor.  The speed, cadence, shift, brake, and torque sensors work simultaneously to provide continuous feedback from the rider to the motor.  Because of this, the motor delivers exactly what you ask of it.  You get a very natural feeling ride, even with a large amount of torque and power output. 

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The focus of our research and development team, at Bakcou eBikes, was to design the most dependable, efficient, and  comfortable fat tire electric bikes available. 

Our e-bikes were designed to be electric bikes from the beginning, and not simply regular bikes, modified to function as ebikes.  The stresses and demands placed on an electric bike used to haul, not only the rider, but his gear and game, in and out of the back country, are much greater than those placed on a regular bike.  For this reason, we designed and manufactured our ebikes around the most important part of the bike, the drive train.

TESTING AND TRIAL

Bakcou eBikes was conceptualized by hunters and outdoorsmen that love to get off the beaten path and access remote areas with as little impact as possible on wildlife and the environment. 

We wanted a way to move quicker, quieter, and scent free from one hunting spot to another.   Our journey of testing and trial started in 2015 with several demo ebikes.  We’ve tested multiple frames and components, as well as, mid-drive motors, rear-drive motors and even 2 wheel drive ebikes on just about any type of terrain you can imagine. 

Whether its snow, mud, rock or sand on steep climbs or descending technical terrain, we’ve done it all.  What we learned is, if we’re going to plan our hunts around electric bikes, they will need to get us, our gear, and our game in and out of these remote areas.  They need to be dependable, rugged, and most of all, functional.  After countless hours of testing and trial, in the harshest of environments, we have assembled a line of back country ebikes that will be just that.
