Groupsets

A groupset, also known as a gruppo, is a collection of components that work together to control a bicycle's shifting and braking.  It typically includes the shifters, brake levers, derailleurs, crankset, cassette, chain, and bottom bracket.

Essentially, it's the mechanical heart of the bicycle, excluding the frame, wheels, and contact points like the saddle and handlebars.
