Bongos

A bongo drum is a percussion instrument consisting of two small drums of different sizes joined together.  The larger drum is called the hembra, and the smaller one is called the macho.

Bongos are usually played with the hands and fingers, although sometimes sticks or mallets may also be used.  They are commonly used in Latin American music, particularly in genres such as salsa, rumba, and Afro-Cuban jazz, but they have also been used in other styles of music, such as rock and jazz.

Bongo drums are known for their distinctive sound, which is bright, sharp, and percussive.  They are usually played while seated, with the larger drum positioned on the player's left and the smaller one on the right.

Bongos can be found in many different materials, such as wood, plastic, or fiberglass, and can come in different sizes and tunings to suit the player's preferences and musical style.
