Washburn designed the Festival series to address the needs of the performing musician and it has succeeded for over 25 years. The Festival series was the standard acoustic/electric guitar seen on MTV’s “Unplugged” series and has since become one of the best selling and most copied guitars on the market.

Built with a cutaway so that access to the upper frets is a breeze.
  • Exotic Koa Top: The distinctive Koa top gives the Festival EA55G an exotic look that stands out. Matched with catalpa back and sides, and a mahogany neck, the EA55G’s rich tone belies its comfortably smaller size.
  • Barcus-Berry Electronics: The Festival EA55G is equipped with a preamp and pickup system from Barcus-Berry, the developer of the first ever piezo crystal transducer for musical instruments in 1963. With features such as an onboard tuner, EQ controls and feedback resistance, the EA55G offers exceptional plugged-in performance.
