MetaBikes

MetaBikes was born in Barcelona in 2008 with the aim to fill the gap between road racing bikes and recumbents.

According to Elias Almansa, the industrial designer that  started of the company, there was a great opportunity to take part in the evolution of recumbents at that moment, when they were more alternative and underengineered than nowadays. 

After years of activity, MetaBikes has brought this category of bikes closer to their traditional counterparts, in order to make them more appealing to the general cyclist.

While MetaBikes design fits totally in the recumbent category, it takes full advantage of the standardized road components.  The brand has become a famous name for sport quality products in this specialized market.

With the recent introduction of carbon frame models, MetaBikes has been revamped and reorganized to meet present and future product trends.
